PART # ACC-973024
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Parts Included:
- 1 x Stainless Steel Plenum Cover
- 1 x Adhesive Promoter Pack
Introduction: This cover is designed to permanently attach to the factory plenum, enhancing the overall look of your engine compartment.
Liner Information: Your new cover includes a clear protective liner on the top surface. Do not remove this liner until installation is complete to prevent fingerprints or scratches.
READ BEFORE MOUNTING:
- Prepare the Surface:
Clean the mounting area thoroughly with soap and water. Then, scrub the surface using rubbing alcohol to remove any wax, oil, or residue. If any contaminants remain, the trim will not adhere properly. - Test the Tape:
Use the tape test stick included in your kit. Stick and pull it off several times on the mounting area. If it sticks tightly, the surface is clean and ready. If it doesn’t stick well, repeat the cleaning process. - Fit the Cover:
Without removing the backing liner, place the Plenum Cover against the intended area. Gently bend it to match the contour of the engine surface. Familiarize yourself with its correct position before mounting. - Apply the Promoter:
Open the Promoter Pack and use the moistened towelette to wipe the areas where the cover will be attached. Allow it to dry completely. - Shape Before Sticking:
Before peeling the red backing, check the fit and contour again. Although pre-shaped, the cover may need slight hand adjustments to perfectly match the factory plenum.
IMPORTANT: Proper shaping ensures long-term adhesion and prevents the cover from lifting over time. - Mount the Cover:
Once satisfied with the fit, peel off the red backing liner. Hold the cover about half an inch from the surface, align it carefully, and gently press it into place. Make final adjustments if needed, then press firmly along the entire perimeter to secure the bond.
Finally, remove the protective top liner to reveal your brilliantly polished stainless steel plenum cover. Your engine bay will now have a professional, show-quality finish!
