This part is designed to complement the Door Sill Kit. It finishes off your inner door and gives it a professional look. Guaranteed you’ll love the result!
The part is made of pure stainless steel that will not stain, rust, corrode, or tarnish. Includes a set of two plates, one for each door.
Each kit comes with two pieces, one plate per door. When installed properly, they will stay in place and will not come off due to heat, cold, or vibration.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Included:
- 1 set of 2 stainless vanity plates (left & right side)
- 1 tape test kit
- 1 packet of promoter
NOTE: Do not remove the protective liner from your new vanity plates until installation is complete.
- Clean the top door jamb area with soap and water to remove any dirt. Then wipe thoroughly with common household isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol. Let dry completely.
- Test the surface of your painted door jamb to ensure the tape will hold. Use a piece of the included test tape or masking tape. Try several areas—if it sticks, proceed to the next step. If not, re-clean until it sticks properly.
- Slightly bend the vanity plate to match the curve of the inner door where it will be placed. Make a gentle bend by hand near the center, then test the fit and adjust as needed.
- Without removing the red liner from the back of your vanity trim plates, hold each one up to the door jamb to check the fit. Once satisfied with the location and shape, remove the red liner, position the plate, and press firmly to secure it.
- Repeat this process for the opposite side.
Note: Take care when cleaning your new sills and plates. Lightly dust them with a clean, soft cloth first to prevent scratching. Then wipe with a high-quality, streak-free glass cleaner using a new, soft cloth.
