Description

Deluxe stainless steel, show-car-quality water tank cover. Comes with a chrome cap. Easy installation with 3M professional-grade automotive tape. Not affected by engine heat. Made of pure stainless steel that will not stain, rust, corrode, or tarnish.

When installed correctly, it will stay securely in place and will not come off due to heat, cold, or vibration.

Note: This part looks best when mounted with the Inner Fender Covers.

Installation Instructions

Includes: 1 x Water Tank Cover; 1 x Chrome Replacement Fluid Cap; 4 x Velcro Cookies

Installation Steps:

  1. Installation of the passenger side water tank cover is simple. Clean the top of the water tank thoroughly using isopropanol (available at any hardware store). Ensure the surface is completely clean and oil-free, then swipe the area with the adhesive promoter provided. Let it dry for 2 minutes.
  2. Install the four Velcro attachment cookies on top of the tank, ensuring they are all oriented the same way (all hook or all loop). Expose the top Velcro half and set them in place over the mounted cookies. Align the cookies on the water tank and cover so they match perfectly.
  3. Your new cover has a small hole to allow rerouting of the hood pin switch connector. Pass the connector through this hole and reconnect the switch.
  4. With the cookies exposed, set the water tank cover in place, pressing along the Velcro areas to secure it. Lift the cover slightly and press again to further set the Velcro cookies with your fingers.
  5. Return the cover to its final position and remove the protective liner to complete the installation.
