Instructions
Parts Included: 1 x Brushed or Polished Stainless Steel Engine Air Box Cover; 1 x Adhesive Promoter Packet.
This new kit is designed to enhance what is already a state-of-the-art engine bay. It’s part of a premium lineup that elevates the appearance without taking away from the OEM high-tech style.
Your new kit comes with a clear protective liner. Do not remove this liner until installation is complete.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the top of the engine air box by scrubbing it with rubbing alcohol. This removes dirt and road grime to ensure proper adhesion.
- Take your new Air Box Trim Cover and, without removing any of the protective backing or plastic, place it on the air box to test the fit. Move it around until you’re comfortable with its position. You will need to gently bend the sides to match the air box contour. Use gloves or a towel to bend the metal safely and avoid injury or damage. Adjust through trial and error until it fits perfectly along the air box edges.
- Once the area is clean and dry, wipe the factory air box surface with the adhesive promoter pack provided.
- Peel off the red backing from the trim cover. Hold the trim piece just above the air box without touching it. Align it carefully by eye, then gently lower it into place. Make any small adjustments for a proper fit, then press down firmly, starting from the center and working your way out to each side.
- Remove the clear plastic protective cover from the top of the trim piece.
- Let the adhesive cure overnight before starting the engine. Keep the cover clean using a good-quality glass cleaner.
