Important Note: Designed to fit Dodge Viper GTS or RT-10’s 1992-2002. The grille will fit on 1992-1998 Vipers but may require minor mounting customization.
For mounting on Vipers 1999-2002:
- Open the hood completely. Clean the ridge where the inner structure meets the outer skin using soap and water, then scrub with household rubbing alcohol.
- Position the grille in the ridge to check fit. The bottom should sit at the fender lip. Mark the small hole location at the top of the grille on the inner fender. Drill a 9/64th hole carefully without puncturing the outer painted skin.
- Wipe the area where the grille touches the inner fender with the adhesive promoter provided.
- Slightly bend the grille to match the fender’s curve. Peel the red release liner from the back and set the grille into the groove. The grille should stay in position by itself. Rivet the top using the provided rivet, or use the screws instead (do not overtighten).
- Attach the stainless bracket behind the badge to the hood fender wall. Clean the attachment points with rubbing alcohol, let dry, then apply the adhesive promoter. Peel and stick the bracket, pressing firmly to set.
- Lower the hood carefully and adjust the grille edges to achieve a contoured shape. The grille should not contact the painted inner fender. Remove protective liner.
- Mount the small “L” bracket at the bottom of the grille.
- Repeat steps 1-5 for the opposite side. Clean the vent grilles with a soft cloth and streak-free glass cleaner to prevent scratching.
Additional Notes: Once installed, open the hood carefully to avoid contact with the fenders. Two people are recommended for the safest operation. On some older Vipers, a plastic tab may need to be trimmed for proper grille fit (see Photo A).
