Description

For all RT/10 Viper Gen 2 cars. This high-quality, solid aluminum grille with chrome trim will dress up the empty black hole at the opening of your hood air intake. Stays shiny, heat stain-resistant. Self-adhesive sides make mounting easy. This part also fits with the Hood Scoop Plate part ACC-962010. Will not rust, corrode, or lose its luster. When installed properly, it will stay put and will not come off due to heat, cold, or vibration.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Your new grille is designed and hand-crafted to insert directly into the hood vent opening and to lie flush with the very back of the opening.

WARNING – It is extremely important to follow the steps below to ensure that your new part bonds permanently and professionally. Do not skip any of the prepping procedures.

  1. Wash the area where you are going to attach the billet grille thoroughly with soap and water to remove any dirt.
  2. Wipe the area with household rubbing alcohol to prepare the surface for adhesion. Make sure to clean the entire intake opening, bottom, and sides. This dissolves any protectants or wax that can inhibit a good seal.
  3. Wipe the area with the adhesive promoter (provided). The liquid is sticky and sets up fast. Be careful when opening the packet to avoid spills. Do not let it touch your hands or other surfaces. Use the sponge inside the packet to carefully apply the promoter to the area where the grille will be mounted. Wipe off any excess immediately using rubbing alcohol.
  4. Open the hood fully. Place the new grille into the vent from the back to check the fit and note its position. Ensure it sits completely into the opening.
  5. Once satisfied with the fit, remove the grille. Peel the red liner from the taped bottom edge of the grille and reinsert it. Press firmly along the bottom edge to set the attachment tape.
  6. After positioning the grille, place a small bead of black or clear household silicone into the side channels of the grille, filling the gap between the channel and the hood vent opening. This adds stability and provides a finished look.
