South Bend’s performance clutch for Viper engines features a high-performance organic facing for smooth engagement and a stronger clamping force than the stock setup. It does not require upgraded hydraulics.
This clutch system is designed for racing conditions. The pressure plate is precisely balanced for vibration-free operation at high RPM. Its fulcrum is modified for positive disengagement and quick shifting. The disc features a dual-damped design that ensures accurate control during acceleration through corners. The friction material is a hybrid setup—using a full-face Feramic (Sintered Iron) lining on the flywheel side and a high-metal-content organic lining on the pressure plate side. Engagement is firm yet smooth due to the high graphite content unique to Feramic facings.
Includes two main components: pressure plate and friction disc, plus a pilot bearing and alignment tool.
Recommended uses: Daily driving and street performance, with an emphasis on rally and endurance racing.
