Description
These mirror-polished stainless steel strips really dress up your engine. They have been a big hit at Viper rallies! The six strips fit directly on top of the existing strips on your engine’s manifold. Unlike the original dull, exposed, brushed steel strips, these metal strips stay shiny. They are heat-resistant. Self-adhesive on the back of each strip makes installation easy. Includes six strips, each 5/8 inch wide. When installed properly, they will stay put and will not come off due to heat, cold, or vibration.
Installation Instructions
Included: 6 x stainless steel engine strips (peel and stick), 1 packet of adhesive promoter.
- Wash the engine valve cover factory bare strips thoroughly with a grease remover. Then wipe down with rubbing alcohol. Dry off the area with a clean rag. Take a piece of masking tape and stick it to each factory bare strip on your engine. If the tape sticks, go to the next step; if not, clean until the tape adheres properly.
- Set each stainless steel strip on your factory bare strips. Line up each strip to ensure proper fit. Once satisfied, start installing one stainless steel strip at a time.
Take the adhesive promoter packet included and remove the tiny pad. Wipe down each stock engine strip. Let dry for three minutes. Remove the red liner from the back of each strip.
- Take the first strip to be mounted and remove the red liner from the back, exposing the adhesive tape. Carefully and lightly set the strip into the correct position on top of the valve cover. Make any final slight adjustments. Once done, press down firmly along the entire surface. Continue until all pieces are mounted.
