When installed properly, they will stay securely in place and will not come off due to heat, cold, or vibration.
Installation Instructions
Parts Included: 2 Brushed Door Guards, 2 Tape Test Strips, 1 Abrasive Pad, and 2 Adhesive Promoter Packets.
Your door guards come with a protective liner. Do not remove it until the part is fully installed.
Very Important: Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation. You must follow these directions exactly, or your new panels may not adhere properly.
- Before you begin, you must first prepare the door panel to ensure proper adhesion. Scrub the entire area with household isopropyl alcohol (available at most grocery and hardware stores). Then follow the steps below.
- If your door panels have ever been treated with Armor All or silicone-based coatings, installation will not work unless these treatments are completely removed with special cleaners. Household isopropyl alcohol alone may not remove them.
Note: Some doors may have been treated at the dealership or factory before purchase. For best results, refer to the special preparation instructions enclosed. We cannot be responsible for panels that fail to stick due to improper surface preparation. - Note: You have been provided with a small abrasive pad and a tape test strip to check adhesion before mounting. After cleaning the area, apply the test tape to several spots. If the tape sticks easily, proceed to the next step. If it does not, clean the surface again until it does.
Do not attempt to install your door guards until your test strips adhere properly.
- Apply a strip of masking tape along the upper edge of the door panel to protect it. Lightly scuff the door panel around the entire perimeter where the guard will be mounted, and wipe off all debris. This creates a rough surface for better adhesion. Then apply the provided adhesive promoter and allow a few seconds to dry.
- Before removing the red liner for permanent installation, place the door guard into position to check the fit. Although preformed, it may need gentle hand shaping to ensure a perfectly contoured fit. The panel should lie flat and conform naturally to the door’s shape without forcing it. Ensure all points tuck in properly and do not protrude.
- Remove the red liner carefully (avoid touching the adhesive) and press the door guard firmly into place across the entire surface.
- Remove the protective liner. Then repeat all steps for the other door.

Maintenance: When cleaning your door guards, first dust lightly with a clean, soft cloth to avoid scratching. Then wipe with a new soft cloth and a good quality, streak-free glass cleaner for best results.
