Description
A brushed all-aluminum cup holder ring with two O-rings for a tight fit. Designed specifically for the Dodge Viper.
This is the same part as DVCH024 but includes a specialty 3-inch hole cutting bit. One spin and it’s done — finished in seconds. Fits any home drill. Simply drill a hole in your center console using our easy-to-follow instructions and pattern to locate the exact spot.
Then insert the cup holder ring. It’s easy to install and makes a noticeable difference. Now you can keep a can of soda conveniently out of the way and within easy reach. It leaves room for your arm to rest on the console and does not interfere with the shifter or parking brake handle. You do not need to remove any parts from your car — it fits and works perfectly.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Items Included – Standard Kit:
- 1 – Cup holder trim ring
- 2 – Rubber O-rings
- 1 – 3″ drill bit (only included in part kit #DVCH026)
- Carefully prepare the surface of your interior center console. Apply masking tape to the area where you plan to place the cup holder.
- Find the center point of the circle where the cup holder will be installed. Measure 4.5 inches (4½”) from the passenger side edge of the center console and make a small erasable mark. Then measure 5.25 inches (5¼”) from the rear lip of the console and make another mark that crosses the first. The “X” marks the center point. Refer to the diagram included.
Use the included cardboard pattern, or use a drawing compass. Place the compass point on the “X” you marked, extend the pencil leg to 1.5 inches (radius), and draw a circle that is 3 inches in diameter.
NOTE: Do not make the hole larger than 3 inches. It’s better to make it slightly smaller and enlarge it later if needed. Place the 3-inch drill bit at the center and carefully drill the hole, keeping the drill steady with both hands to prevent slipping.
- Insert the cup holder into the hole. The cup holder includes a rubber O-ring seal, but you may also use a small amount of silicone for additional sealing.
NOTE: If the hole is too small, use a file or coarse sandpaper to slightly enlarge the opening. If the hole is too large, use a 3-inch beauty ring (washer) around the cup holder for a proper fit.
