READ BEFORE MOUNTING—
- It is critical to thoroughly clean the surface where you will be mounting the trim.
Wash the area with soap and water, then use rubbing alcohol to scrub it thoroughly.
If there is any wax or oil, the trim will not adhere properly. - Once the surface preparation is complete, use your Test Stick Kit (included).
Peel back the red liner from the small piece of test tape and try sticking a corner of it onto the surface where you will mount your Rocker Trim.
Try several locations. Stick and pull off. If it sticks tightly, your surface is ready for installation. - Take out your Rocker Trim (without removing the back liner) and hold it against the area where it will be mounted.
If necessary, gently bend the Rocker Trim to match the contour of the surface.
Familiarize yourself with how it will fit once mounted. - Open one of the promoter packets and remove the moistened towelette.
Wipe down all the areas where the trim will be mounted. - Note: Once you remove the red liner, the product cannot be returned.
Take one Rocker Trim piece and remove about 12 inches of the red liner.
Be careful not to touch the adhesive tape with your fingers or any surface.
Hold the Rocker Trim about half an inch above the area where it will be mounted and line it up carefully.
Slowly and gently lower the exposed portion onto the surface. Do not press it down yet.
Make any necessary adjustments. Once you are satisfied with the fit, press down firmly along the entire area. - Peel back another one to two feet of the liner at a time, aligning and pressing as you go, until the trim is fully mounted.
