Mirror Finish

This highly polished stainless steel cap fits right on top of your existing gas cap. Includes raised perimeter trim with sports holes. All metal. Will not rust, corrode, or lose its luster. Stays shiny! Easy to mount in minutes. It is a real attention getter and really stands out, getting compliments. When installed properly, it will stay put and will not come off due to heat, cold, or vibration.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Items Included: 1 x Gas Cap Cover, 1 x Adhesive Promoter packet

Notes:

  • Care must be taken when cleaning your gas cap cover, as it can be scratched easily. Some small black specks may appear on the surface. This is a tiny bit of excess glue and can be removed by wiping with a clean soft cloth and glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol.
  • Leave the clear plastic shield on top of your gas cap until installation to prevent scratching.
  1. Clean the gas cap area with soap and water to remove dirt. Then wipe thoroughly with household rubbing alcohol and let it dry.
  2. Without removing the backing, place the cap on top of your existing cap to check the fit. You may need to slightly bend the cap to match the curve of your car. Very important: before sticking the cap on, ensure proper positioning so it does not hit the car when the gas cap is opened.
  3. Open the Adhesive Promoter packet carefully. Using the sponge inside, wipe the area where the cap will be mounted. Install the cap immediately while the promoter is active.
  4. Peel the red liner off the back without removing the front clear covering material on the new cap.
  5. Hold the cap just off the surface and position it without pressing down. Use the left-side finger hump on your existing gas cap to align. Careful: once the back touches the car surface, it is permanently stuck. The cap is slightly larger than the factory cap, so minor overhang adjustments may be needed. Once in position, lightly set it down, check the gas cap operation, then press firmly for a permanent bond.
  6. Remove the clear protective liner from the top of the new cap.
