INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Included: 1 x Hood Scoop Trim Plate, 1 x Chrome Vinyl Trim Strip, 1 x Packet of Adhesive Promoter
Your new hood scoop plate comes with a clear protective liner. Do not remove this liner until installation is complete!
- Scrub the entire area where the plate will be mounted with soap and water. Dry the area, then clean it with household isopropyl alcohol. Wipe off all residue and let it dry.
- The trim plate comes pre-shaped, but it may be necessary to further shape (bend) it by hand to achieve a flat fit without forcing. Place the trim plate down to check the fit and contour to the hood. Once satisfied, mark its position with a grease pencil.
- Swipe the area where the trim piece will be installed with the adhesive promoter (provided).
- Peel the red liner from the underside and carefully reposition the plate into place. NOTE: You only have one shot at the final placement, so it is recommended to do a dry run before mounting. Once stuck, the placement is permanent.
- Take the Chrome vinyl trim strip. Peel back a couple of inches of the red backing and line up one end with the triangle edge. Press it on tightly, then slowly work the trim strip around the Hood Scoop edge, removing the red backing as you go. Practice lining it up before mounting.
- Once mounted in position, press firmly over the entire plate to set, then remove the protective liner. DO NOT GET WET FOR 24 HOURS.
- CARE AND MAINTENANCE: Lightly dust the cover with a clean, soft cloth to remove particles that may scratch it. Then wipe with a new, clean soft cloth using a good-quality streak-free glass cleaner.
