Description
There is no background — the set of letters peels off and sticks onto your car’s body. Raised three-dimensional letters. Overall size: “VIPER GTS” 1¾ in. x 10 in., and “DODGE” 1 in. x 8 in. Removing Old Emblem and Mounting Replacement Emblems
Mounting Instructions
- Wash the area on the car where the emblems will be mounted with soap and water. Next, wipe down the area with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils on the paint surface. This will not harm your paint.
- Removing the old emblem: Take masking tape and outline the logo on the bottom, top, and left side (not the right side) to mark where the new emblem will be mounted. See diagram 1. Use the pink scraper included to carefully pry underneath the old emblem (Diagram 2). The tool should remove the old emblem easily without scratching your paint.
- Important: Some mounting surfaces will be curved. Slightly bend the new emblem letters to match the curve of the car surface. Test the fit, adjust as needed until the emblem sits properly. See diagram 5.
- Without peeling off the backing, hold the new emblem up to the spot where it will be mounted to become familiar with the position.
- If your emblem comes with a ‘map’ (stencil), stick the map over the area to mount the new emblem. Place the emblem letters in the cut-out spaces on the map. Once complete, peel off the map. NOTE: You can also mark tick marks on masking tape where each letter or symbol begins for precise placement.
Once satisfied, take the included promoter packet and wipe the area with the damp towelette where the new emblem will be mounted (this will not harm your paint).
- Peel the liner off the back of the new emblem and carefully hold it up to the spot where it will be mounted. Gently set the new emblem in place without pressing. Make any minor adjustments needed (see Diagrams 3 & 4). Once positioned correctly, press firmly over the entire emblem to form a tight bond. Remove the masking tape. You’re done!
