If you are replacing all four shocks, do your Viper truck a favor and replace the rear damper as well. The rear axle damper (shock absorber) determines the stiffness of your frame. Having a stronger new one can really make a difference in handling. This is a direct replacement for the factory part, which is no longer made. Exact fit. Bolt-on replacement.
Upgrade:
Do you want more traction? Replace your worn-out kicker shock with our billet kicker shock. Nitrogen is charged for long life and cooler running. Traction will no longer be a problem.
We did extensive work on the kicker shock. These are stiff, and you will notice improvements on a stock truck or even one with traction bars. At around 60 mph, when you accelerate or tow, the stock axle may twist slightly. With the kicker shock, that is eliminated — giving you better traction and acceleration.
The kicker shocks are fully billet construction, with solid joint ends for strength and better road feel. They are completely rebuildable, and each shock is custom-built one at a time — not mass produced. Featuring larger shafts for more rigidity and feel, these single monotube, gas-charged shocks are far more reliable and offer quicker response than stock.
This performance strut will not degrade after 100 miles of use. The gas stays cooler, maintaining consistency, ensuring a shock that lasts for years without fading.
