LIMITED WARRANTY for PCM Repair Service
This repair on your PCM (Powertrain Control Module), referred to herein as “PCM,” has a 120-day limited warranty from the date it was shipped to you. Warranty is enforced by Hot Car Accessories, Inc. (HCA) at its sole discretion.
This PCM is delivered, inspected, and tested to be in good working order.
If problems occur and are covered under this warranty, HCA will repair your PCM within the warranty period.
Covered under this warranty:
- Repairs that HCA made to the PCM
NOT Covered:
- Circuit chip failures due to power surges from the vehicle, its components, or external sources (determined by inspection).
- Improper battery disconnection/reconnection.
- Using the vehicle’s battery to power outside sources (e.g., jump-starting another vehicle).
- Cracked or broken PCMs due to installation or removal.
- Improper installation or removal of the PCM.
- If HCA labels or stickers are removed.
If you have warranty issues:
- Call us for a return authorization number and the correct return address at (352) 688-8160 (Mon–Fri).
- Send the PCM to HCA with the return authorization number on the box. Include your name, address, phone number, email, and a detailed description of the problem. You are responsible for ensuring it arrives undamaged, properly packed, and insured.
- HCA will repair the PCM if necessary.
- If HCA determines the PCM is in working order with no faults, you are responsible for the cost of diagnosis and return shipping. If a fault is found and covered, return shipping within the USA and Canada is free (other locations must pay shipping).
Termination of Warranty:
- If HCA repairs your PCM and problems persist, this indicates another mechanical or electrical issue affecting the PCM, and the warranty will be terminated.
- If the PCM has been opened, unsealed, tampered with, or is missing parts, as determined by HCA.
- If the PCM shows signs of burns or outside damage.
HCA is not liable for any monetary amount beyond the price paid to HCA for this service. Once this PCM is accepted by the customer, installer, or is installed in any vehicle, you acknowledge that HCA has the sole authority to determine whether PCM issues fall under this limited warranty.
