INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Included:  1  x  Set of 2 Stainless Vanity Plates L & R side,  1  x  Tape Test Kit,  1  x  Packet of Promoter    

NOTE:  Do not remove your new Vanity Plates protective liner until you are completely done installing them.

1. Clean top door jam area first with soap and water to remove any dirt.  Then wipe thoroughly with with common household Isopropyl Alcohol or rubbing alcohol found in most grocery stores and all hardware stores. .  Let dry.

2.  You want to test the surface of your painted stock jam to see if it will hold the tape.  Now take a piece of the Test Tape (included) or a piece of masking tape and stick it to your top door jam area.  Try several areas if it sticks go to the next step.  If it does not re-clean until it sticks everywhere on the cap.
 
3.  You will need to slightly bend the Vanity Plate to make it conform with the slight bend in the inner door where it will go.  This is done by making a slight bend by hand near the center then testing the fit – adjust as necessary.

4.   Without removing the red liner on back of  your Vanity Trim plates hold each one up to the door jam where you will mount it.  See how it fits.  Once you are satisfied with the location and the bend you’ve made - remove the red liner from the attachment tape and reposition. Press firmly to set.

5.  Repeat this process for the opposite side.

Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your new sill s and plates. It is a good idea to lightly dust your plates with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from scratching it. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak free glass cleaner.
